Montessori Elementary

Required Courses for Elementary the Elementary Program

SMCC's Montessori training schedule is designed for working educators. With training during the summer months and on Saturdays during the spring and fall months, we have created an opportune situation for educators who would like to earn additional continuing education hours, certifications or a second degree.

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Child Development Class (CFS176 or equivalent)
  • Permission of the Montessori Elementary Coordinator
  • Montessori 3-6 diploma OR a 45-hour overview course (ECH100) to be taught in Spring.
